I thoroughly enjoyed playing High on Life. The game’s humor, script, visual design, and most of the level architecture were highlights for me. However, a few aspects were less appealing. Certain levels felt overly lengthy and somewhat monotonous to navigate, which, despite having all abilities at my disposal, made the hunt for collectibles somewhat cumbersome. Additionally, the game’s narrative felt brief, providing around 12 hours of gameplay. I found many Gatlians to be somewhat lackluster in terms of power, even after upgrades, leading me to favor using Creature once I had him. Despite these criticisms, I would still recommend the game and am eager to see if a more expansive sequel is in the pipeline.
